2024-2025 Monday Evening Courses with Alison Craddock, The Little Studio on The Street
Drawing Course – 6 week course
Time to kickstart your love of drawing, this course is designed for returners and beginners alike and will cover all aspects of observational drawing, from the use of materials through to traditional techniques, you will be guided to create a variety of exciting outcomes.
Monday evenings 7-9pm, 16th 23rd 30th September, 7th 14th 21st October 2024. £130 per person which includes all materials, sketchbook and portfolio.
Exploring Drawing – 6 week course
A chance to explore different drawing techniques and materials and build on your existing skills; you will learn to use your sketchbook effectively to explore, record and develop ideas and experience the freedom and expression of drawing in a variety of mediums.
Monday evenings 7-9pm, 4th 11th 18th November, 2nd 9th 16th December 2024. £130 per person which includes all materials.
More Drawing – 6 week course
Take your drawing experience further and explore and develope the techniques that you find most interesting. There will also be an opportunity to try mono-printing during this block.
Monday evenings 7-9pm, 6th 13th 20th 27th January, 3rd 10th February 2025. £130 which includes basic materials.
All about Colour – 6 week course
A thorough look at colour theory – including all the stuff you thought you knew and a whole lot more. After this course you’ll be able to choose and mix colours with confidence and in a way you never thought possible. You will learn how to create and use tints, tones and shades, see how colours affect each other, learn which colours to buy and much more.
Monday evenings 7-9pm, 24th February, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th 31st March 2025. £130 which includes all materials.
Painting I – 3 week course
A chance to explore painting techniques, focusing on using acrylic paint. You will learn all you need to know to enjoy painting with acrylics, from choosing your paints, buying and caring for your equipment, deciding what to paint on, using acrylic ‘mediums’, how to compose your painting and much more. This is only a 3 week block as this half term period is short and contains two Bank Holidays.
Monday evenings 7-9pm, 28th April, 12th 19th May 2025. £70 which includes paint and basic equipment. Canvases available to purchase at an extra charge if required.
Painting II – 7 week course
Here is a longer opportunity to develop your painting further and/or continue with explorations started in the previous block (but not exclusively, you can start afresh with this block).
Monday evenings 7-9pm, 9th 16th 23rd 30th June, 7th 14th 21st July 2025. £150 which includes paint and basic equipment. Canvases will once again be available to purchase at an extra charge if required.
All courses include teas/coffee.
Maximum 7 places available in each block. The Little Studio accommodates small groups, which mean lots of individual attention.
