We offer a variety of workshops delivered by skilled artists and makers. For booking call 07856 080517 or email info@studioartdays.co.uk. The workshop space is also available if you would like to deliver a workshop of your own - please contact us for details.
LEARN TO KNIT a three week course with Bev Murton, Tuesdays 26th November, 3rd and 10th December 10am - 12 noon, £70. Come and learn the basics of knitting, needles and wool provided.
WET FELTED BROOCH MAKING with Alison. Friday 24th January 1.30-4.30pm, £45. Discover the joy of wet felting your very own flower brooch, with as few or as many layers of petals as you want. You will make your felt then construct and embellish your brooch, attaching a brooch pin ready to proudly wear! or gift!
MONOPRINTING with Alison, Saturday 1st February 2-4pm, £40 - learn this exciting method of creating beautiful artworks, a very easy cross between drawing and printing.
FUSED GLASS with Jane Padgham, Friday 28th February 10am-12noon, £55. Discover the wonderful world of glass fusing with trained teacher Jane Padgham. This session will give you a great introduction to working with glass. Using nature and the seasons for inspiration you will create a minimum of two items which will be a 10cm coaster/light catcher or garden stake/ornament/bunting. The workshop is designed to be fun and allows you to be creative whilst learning the basic skills of working with glass. The session assumes no previous experience with glass and is suitable for those aged 16+. Please wear suitable clothing and closed toe shoes. Please note that your creation will not be available to take home on the day as this will need to be fired at the artist’s studio. They will be ready for you to collect 14 days after the workshop by arrangement.
LINOCUT with Alison. Saturday 1st March, 1.30 - 5pm, £45. An exciting introduction to the art of linocut printing, suitable for complete beginners and returners. You will design and cut your own linocut print, and learn how to continue with your printing at home.

SPOON CARVING FOR BEGINNERS groups of 3 or four, on request.10am-3pm, £75. Carve your own spoon using green wood, with woodcarver James Robertson of Wuud Carving. All instruction, tools and materials will be provided for you to create your own unique wooden spoon. Suitable for anyone over 16 with reasonable wrist and hand strength.
Workshops will take place in the studio with plenty of ventilation. All workshop attendees are asked not to attend any event with any cold symptoms. Tea/coffee and biscuits provided but if your workshop runs over the lunch period, we suggest you bring a packed lunch.
